Treine seu inglês com o 1º episódio da série "The Crown"

A mais nova série da Netflix tem ótimas lições para quem quer se aperfeiçoar no inglês. Confira dois exercícios baseados em diálogos do episódio de estreia

Adora séries e quer melhorar o inglês ? Se você ainda não conhece, fica a recomendação de "The Crown", a mais nova série da Netflix . Os episódios contam a história da rainha da Inglaterra Elizabeth II , que herdou a coroa aos 25 anos de idade, bem como os eventos que marcaram seu reinado na segunda metade do século 20.

Já no episódio de estreia da série, é possível usar alguns diálogos entre os personagens para treinar estruturas e preposições do idioma inglês.

Prepositions (Use: AT / AT/ WITH/ BY/FROM)

1. Are they keeping something …….me? (hiding)

2. Your first day …..work.

3. The country needs to be led … someone strong.

4. I'd want my husband ..… home ….. his children.

MISTAKES - Answers

1. He will be known as Lieutenant Phillip Moutbatten, Royal Navy. (future passive – ele será conhecido como)

2. Do you think I can change my mind after that? (modal verb: sem “to”: I can change/ he can work/ you can speak)

3. It’s probably just the cold weather, sir.
(weather – tempo meteorológico/ whether - used to introduce the first of two alternatives, or a single alternative, the other being implied : Whether we go or whether we stay, the result is the same. See whether or not she has come. I doubt whether we can do any better.)

4. The man who gave away India
(to give away = to provide someone with something that you no longer want or need – dar de presente) . Simple past: gave away (sem o “s)

5. For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health.
(health – saúde / healthy – saudável)

6. If your marriage is as happy as mine has been, I don’t want you to miss a single thing.
(use “to want” com esta estrutura: I want you to study/ I don’t want you to come / He wants me to stay)

7. To be elected for the second time as your Prime Minister
(passive voice: he was elected/ he will be elected)

8. Several years of strong, steady, experienced administration.
(experience: experiência, substantivo/ experienced: experiente, adjetivo)

9. Would it be terribly unconstitutional of me to tell you how happy I am? (constitutional/unconstitutional)

10. That would have been very antiseptic
(That would be: Isso seria/ That would have been: Isso teria sido)

3. You’re doing it on purpose
