A Aeronáutica informou que o avião responsável pelo resgate de 220 brasileiros no Líbano partirá do Rio de Janeiro nesta quarta-feira, 2. A aeronave KC-30, um modelo utilizado em operações militares de longo alcance, fará uma escala em Lisboa antes de seguir para o Aeroporto de Beirute.
Contexto da Missão de Resgate
O Líbano está sendo alvo de ataques por parte de Israel, cujo foco é atingir bases do grupo terrorista Hezbollah. A situação tensa na região tornou necessário o resgate de cidadãos brasileiros, que estão buscando retornar ao país em segurança.
Ainda não há previsão oficial de retorno do avião ao Brasil, segundo a Aeronáutica.
Equipes de apoio na missão “Raízes de Cedro”
Além dos pilotos, a tripulação contará com militares da área de saúde, incluindo médico, enfermeiro e psicólogo, que irão oferecer suporte aos resgatados durante a missão. A operação foi batizada de “Raízes de Cedro”, uma referência à árvore que simboliza o Líbano.
